SEPTEMBER 30.september – 3.oktober DYBTRYK med Birthe Reinau

Tema: Byernes Landskaber Dybtryk: Koldnålsradering, stregætsning, blødgrundsætsning, akvatinte og løftegrundsætsning.

Koldnålsradering, hvor der raderes direkte i en akrylplade med radérnålen, og hårdgrunds- og blødgrundsætsning hvor motivet ætses i kobberplader i et jernkloridbad. Til stregætsning påføres pladerne en hårdgrund hvori motivet tegnes med radérnålen. Til blødgrunds-ætsning på føres pladerne en blødgrund hvor i der kan laves aftryk af struktur fra tekstiler, blade, fjer og andre flade strukturer. Der kan også lægges et tyndt stykke pergamentpapir over blødgrundspladen. Så kan der tegnes deri med blyant og litografisk kridt og der fremkommer en streg med kridtet og blyantens struktur. Med akvatinten kan der lægges trineætsede gråtoner på raderingerne. Til løftegrunden bruger vi også akvatinte. Efter raderingen og ætsningen trykkes pladerne på fugtigt bøttepapir på en trykpresse. Der trykkes i sort/hvid og i farver.

Inspirationen: Fotos af byer og byernes indbyggere, bøger om byer, danske, italienske, afrikanske, japanske byer og mange flere byer fra hele verden. Vi vil gå ud og tegne i byen. På papir og grafiske plader, henter vi inspiration og motiver i gaderne omkring os, til jeres grafiske tryk.

Vi vil se på danske og internationale kunstneres værker, både fra før og i samtidskunsten; Käthe Kolwitz, Goya, Palle Nielsen, Jes Fomsgaard, Dea Trier Mørk, Antonio Tapies og mange flere. Der kræves ingen forhåndskendskaber, blot lysten og nysgerrigheden efter at arbejde med grafik på et intenst kursus med spændende udfordringer og fuldt tryk på.

SEPTEMBER September 30 – October 3 INTAGLIO PRINTING with Birthe Reinau

Theme: Urban Landscapes Intaglio: Dry Point etching, line etching, soft ground etching, aquatint and lifting ground etching.

Dry point etching, where etching is done directly into an acrylic plate with the needle, and hard ground and soft ground etching, where the motif is etched into copper plates in a ferric chloride bath. For line etching, a hard primer is applied to the plates in which the motif is drawn with the needle. For soft ground etching, the plates are placed on a soft ground in which impressions of structure from textiles, leaves, feathers and other flat structures can be made. A thin piece of parchment paper can also be placed over the soft base plate. Then you can draw in it with pencil and lithographic chalk and a line with the structure of the chalk and the pencil will appear. With the aquatint, step-etched gray tones can be applied to the etching rings. We also use aquatint for the lifting ground. After the etching and etching, the plates are printed on moist bucket paper on a printing press. It is printed in black and white and in colour.

The inspiration: Photos of cities and their inhabitants, books about cities, Danish, Italian, African, Japanese cities and many more cities from all over the world. We will go out and draw in the city. On paper and graphic plates, we get inspiration and motifs from the streets around us, for your graphic prints.

Classes are held every day for 4 days from 10am to 4 pm.
