Night and Day

Fyns Grafiske Værksted har fornøjelsen af at åbne en udstilling med to medlemmer, der begge har rødder i Ukraine. Udstillingens titel; Night and Day refererer til det grafiske særkende, det udtrykker den bevidsthed, at uden lyset intet mørke og uden mørket er der intet lys.
”Lys er vigtigt i min grafik”. Lysgiver mine værker en stemning til særlige dage og vejrforhold. Men siden krigen begyndte, har temaet “dag og nat” fået en anden betydning for mig.”
Men de to kunstnere har andrelighedspunkter, der er begge meget arbejdsomme og professionelle, derfor har de også begge vundet legater og priser for deres arbejde.

Anastasiya Nesterova, er uddannet i Münster i Tyskland, hvor hun arbejder og udstiller.
Kateryna Svirgunenko, der er uddannet i Ukraine, men bor i Frankrig, hvor hun arbejder og udstiller.
Udstillingen åbnes d. 3. maj kl.15-17:00, hvor begge kunstnere vil være til stede og alle er velkomne.
Senere vil de give demonstrationer på deres grafiske teknikker under Kultur Døgnet samme aften kl. 17-21:00.

Night and Day

Funen Printmaking Studio has the pleasure of opening an exhibition with two members, both of whom have roots in Ukraine.

The title of the exhibition; Night and Day refers to the graphic distinctiveness, it expresses the awareness that without light there is no darkness and without darkness there is no light.

“Light is important in my prints”. Light gives my works an atmosphere for special days and weather conditions. But since the war began, the theme “day and night” has taken on a different meaning for me.”

Even the two artists have points of difference, they are both very hardworking and professional, which is why they have also both won grants and prizes for their work.

Anastasiya Nesterova, is educated in Münster, Germany, where she works and exhibits.

Kateryna Svirgunenko, who was educated in Ukraine, but lives in France, where she works and exhibits.

The exhibition opens on 3rd of May at 3-5 pm, where both artists will be present and everyone is welcome.

Later, they will give demonstrations of their graphic techniques during Culture Day the same evening at 5-9 pm.

The exhibition runs until the 28th of May.
